QUESTION

ANSWER

1

Can you confirm that Yakima Air Terminal is a “commercial” airport with daily scheduled flights?

Yes, YKM is certificated Part 139 Commercial Service Airport with 4 daily flights 6 days a week and 3 flights 1 day a week.

2

Can you identify the airlines that serve your airport?

Horizon Air is currently the only airline serving YKM.

3

In your passenger terminal—does your airport have ticket counters with an outbound conveyor system and an inbound conveyor system, with claim devices?

We have an outbound conveyor system that leads just behind our ticket counters.  We do not have an inbound conveyor system with claim devices.  Our baggage claim system is a simple-use system where the baggage handler places baggage from airside onto a platform allowing passengers to retrieve their bags.

4

Do you have “In line baggage Screening” or is your screening machines located in the lobby?

No.  Our screening is completed in-line using the Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) Device.

5

Does YKM seek to hire locally, or would firms working nationally be eligible for consideration for the scope of on call services described in the RFQ?

YKM is not limiting the selection to local firms.  Firms working on a national level are encouraged to submit their qualifications according to the RFQ and will be considered based on the established criteria in the RFQ.

6

Have you been able to develop a list of companies that have asked for this RFQ?

We record information on each request for the RFQ.  Included in this information is the company name.

7

If so, can you send one to us?

At this time, we do not plan to release the requestor list prior to closure of the RFQ request period.

8

Has any “Proposal Submission Meeting” been proposed?

Please refer to the RFQ’s “Evaluation and Selection Process”.

9

If so, can you supply the date, place & time?

Please refer to the RFQ’s “Evaluation and Selection Process”.

10

Please clarify the intention of the airport to use this selection for work beyond the updated Airport Master Plan. The Invitation section on page 2 of 5 is not clear to me in regards to the full scope of work. I am specifically referring to the last sentence of the second paragraph which states “Consultants responding to this solicitation must be willing to provide professional airport services to the Airport on an “as needed” basis for projects at the airport until final close-out activities are completed or such services are no longer required by the Airport.”

On page 2 of the RFQ under “Invitation”, the last sentence of the second paragraph shall read:  “Consultants responding to this solicitation must be willing to provide professional airport services to the Airport on an “as needed” basis for the AMP project at the Airport until final project close-out activities are completed or such services are no longer required by the Airport."
