The airport is owned by the City of Yakima and Yakima County and is managed and operated by an independent Board of Directors and airport staff in accordance with an Airport Joint Operations Agreement. Maintenance and operations of the airport are funded solely through revenues generated on the airport.

The passenger terminal is located at 2300 West Washington Avenue. Located in the terminal is: Horizon Air, Delta Airlines, Global Travel, Budget and Hertz rental car agencies, Pancha's Place Espresso and Snack Bar.

Horizon Air provides several flights per day to and from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (Sea-Tac). Since the airline schedule changes frequently, please click on Horizon Air's website to get a current schedule.  Service is provided with 37 passenger Bombardier Q-200 and 74 seat Q400 turboprop aircraft. To check the status of a Horizon or Alaska flight, go to Horizon Flight Tracker. To use the flight tracker, you must know the date of the flight and the flight number.

Delta Airlines provides two flights per day to and from Salt Lake City, Utah.  Delta utilizes the 50 passenger CRJ (regional jet).  From Delta's Salt Lake hub, there are connections to approximately 112 cities, both within the U.S. and International, that you can access.  As with Horizon, we suggest you check directly with Delta Airlines to get their current schedule.

Xtra Airways also provides intermittent charter operations to Elko and other destinations in Nevada.

The airport supports an active general aviation community. General aviation activities range from light single engine aircraft to sophisticated business jets. General aviation at the airport has seen significant growth in the last several years.

Barnstormers Pub and Eatery is now open on the second floor of the terminal building.  This is conveinent for travelers as well as itinerant general aviation pilots who want to stop in for a quick meal.  Contact them at 509-575-7445 for reservations or hours of operation.

 

There are many hotels to choose from in the Yakima area. Most will provide shuttle service to and from the airport, and if that's not available, taxi service or rental cars can be found in the terminal area. There is a kiosk in the terminal with direct links to several hotels and taxi services.

There are two full service Fixed Base Operators on the airfield, McCormick Air Center and Noland-Decoto Flying Service. The McAllister Museum of Aviaiton is also based at the airport. All three provide 100LL aviation fuel, Noland-Decoto and McCormick provide Jet A as well. Truck delivery is avilable. You can contact the FBOs on unicom, 122.95.
